This smoothie is a fantastic way to start your day or recharge in the afternoon, packed with Vitamin C from the citrus and strawberries, and a boost of protein from the Greek yogurt.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice (about 2 medium oranges)
- 1/4 cup of almond milk (or your preferred milk)
- 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker consistency)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. If using fresh strawberries, you may want to freeze them for a thicker smoothie.
- Blend: In a blender, combine the strawberries, Greek yogurt, orange juice, almond milk, honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust Consistency: Add ice cubes if you desire a thicker consistency and blend again.
